旗帜的颜色是白色和蓝色，分别象征和平和水（代表北萨斯喀彻温河）。市旗于1966年12月12日首次获得埃德蒙顿市议会批准，由艺术家Norman Yates设计[1]，并于1986年更新。
2016年，市长唐·艾维森（Don Iveson）支持采用艺术家瑞安·麦考特（Ryan McCourt）设计的新旗帜并修改徽章。由于缺乏支持，艾维森于2017年放弃了旗帜的重新设计。[2]
