爱德华·特纳·班尼特（英语：Edward Turner Bennett，1797年1月6日—1836年8月21日）是一名英国动物学家和作家。他是植物学家约翰·约瑟夫·班尼特的哥哥[1]。班尼特出生于哈克尼，曾当过外科医生，但他主要的追求始终是动物学。1822年，他试图成立一个昆虫学会，后来成为与林奈学会有关的动物学会。这又成为伦敦动物学会的起点，班尼特于1831年至1836年担任该学会的秘书[2]。他的作品包括《塔楼动物园》（The Tower Menagerie，1829年）和《动物学会的花园和动物园》（The Gardens and Menagerie of the Zoological Society，1831年）。他也与李太郭合作撰写了《比奇航行的动物学》（Zoology of Beechey's Voyage ，1839年）中关于鱼类的部分。1835年，他描述了非洲鳄鱼的一个新物种——中非狭吻鳄（Mecistops leptorhynchus），其有效性于2018年得到确认。
