巨齿鳄属（属名：Teratosaurus，意为“怪物蜥蜴”），是劳氏鳄科的一属，生存于三叠纪诺利阶的德国，化石在Stubensandstein地区的Löwenstein地层发现。巨齿鳄的模式标本是由克莉斯汀·艾瑞克·赫尔曼·汪迈尔（Christian Erich Hermann von Meyer）所叙述，他根据一个附有牙齿的左上颌骨，宣称该化石与箭齿龙并非同一种动物。
之后的研究人员，例如德国的休尼博士、亨利·费尔费尔德·奥斯本（Henry Fairfield Osborn）、以及埃德温·尔伯特（Edwin H. Colbert），将原蜥脚下目的埃弗拉士龙的颅后部分归类于巨齿鳄，使得埃弗拉士龙被认为是种非常原始的兽脚亚目恐龙。许多20世纪的大众书籍遵循这个错误，将巨齿鳄叙述成最早的大型、二足、肉食性恐龙，并猎食原蜥脚下目恐龙。巨齿鳄被许多研究人员认为是侏罗纪肉食性恐龙的三叠纪祖先。
在1985年与1986年，彼得·加尔冬（Peter Galton）与麦可·班顿（Michael Benton）分别指出巨齿鳄其实属于劳氏鳄科，是种大型掠食性主龙类，与恐龙共同生存于晚三叠纪[1][2]。
在2005年由Tomasz Sulej命名的西里西亚巨齿鳄（T. silesiacus）[3]，在2009年由斯蒂芬·布鲁萨特（Stephen L. Brusatte）建立为新属波罗尼鳄（Polonosuchus）[4]。
