尼泊尔人，是孟加拉国的少数民族，人口1100人，他们多数是1950年代时代逃往当时的东巴基斯坦。

概观

大多数的孟加拉的尼泊尔人是1950年代时为改善生活水准而来到北印度附近地区。

他们多数是农民，多数生活在河边。他们在雨季时种植水稻，旱季时种植旱稻、玉米、大麦，他们也种植蔬菜食用，同时养黄牛提供牛奶和养水牛和山羊提供肉食。

他们仍保留种姓制度，可分为高种姓地主和低种姓仆人。

近年来，许多尼泊尔人已经进入了城市。不幸的是大部分的城市尼泊尔人人口居住在破败的房屋，卫生条件很差。他们通常在当地的企业工作，如商家或政府。也有一些在达卡学习，大约有300尼泊尔学生就读于吉大港科学和技术大学（英语：University of Science and Technology Chittagong）。
