威瑟恩西（英语：Withernsea）是英国英格兰东约克郡的一个海滨小镇，也是民政教区之一。据2011年英国人口普查，威瑟恩西有人口6,159人[1]，比2001年的5,980人略有增加[2]。本初子午线穿过威瑟恩西东北海岸线。
历史

和许多海滨度假地类似，威瑟恩西亦有一条海滨大道。其南端出发点是栈桥塔（也是栈桥的入口），修建于1877年，耗资1.2万英镑。栈桥最初长399码（365米），但由于数次船只碰撞而缩减长度。1903年，码头塔进行了翻新[3]。
19世纪中期，随着赫尔和霍德尼斯铁路的竣工，威瑟恩西和赫尔河畔金斯顿之间有铁路相连，令维多利亚时代工人和他们的家庭前往威瑟恩西度假的费用变得低廉，亦促进威瑟恩西的经济成长。但这条铁路已在1964年废除[4]。和英国众多海滨度假地类似，威瑟恩西面临游客减少的情况[5]。
经济
[编辑]在未能并购Proudfoot超市之后，乐购在威瑟恩西开设了一家门店，并推出过购物20英镑即返现8英镑的活动[6]。这引发了竞争委员会的调查[7][8]。
镇中心附近有一个9洞的高尔夫球场，并有休闲中心、酒吧、餐厅等设施[9]。
地标

威瑟恩西灯塔是威瑟恩西的地标之一。这座灯塔高38米，修建于1892年至1894年[10]。威瑟恩西灯塔现在并未作为灯塔使用，而是演员凯·肯戴尔的纪念馆。她在1927年出生于威瑟恩西[11]。尼古拉教堂是威瑟恩西的另一地标，也是英国的II*级登录建筑[12]。
公共服务
[编辑]威瑟恩西拥有自己的医院，由国民保健署（NHS）所有[13]。镇上有五个紧急服务站，包括急救、消防、警察、海岸警卫队和救生站[14]。
