奥斯曼—马穆鲁克战争 (1516年—1517年)
奥斯曼—马穆鲁克战争是指1516年至1517年期间马木留克苏丹国与奥斯曼帝国之间爆发的冲突。此次战争最终导致马穆鲁克苏丹国灭亡，黎凡特、埃及、汉志、麦加、开罗、大马士革和阿勒颇等地区和城市被奥斯曼帝国占领。 [1]原本奥斯曼帝国的领土仅限于安纳托利亚和巴尔干半岛地区，通过这次战争，[1]奥斯曼帝国控制了大片穆斯林世界领土。不过奥斯曼帝国的首都仍然位于伊斯坦布尔。 [2]
