奥体中心体育馆是2008年北京奥运的比赛场馆之一，体育馆是于1989年为1年后的亚运会而兴建，2007年9月13日，改造工程完成。
会于奥运以及残疾奥运会举行手球初赛与四强赛及坐式排球的北京奥体中心体育馆会进行改建和扩建，面积达4.7万平方米。
另外在北京奥运期间，亦会举行北京2008武术比赛。
