太字节或太拉字节（英语：Terabyte，缩写为TB）是资讯计量单位字节的多倍形式。国际单位制（SI）以1,000,000,000,000（1012）来定义前缀太拉，故1太字节表示1012字节[1]。现今通常在标示硬盘总容量、或具有大容量的储存介质之储存容量时使用。常与tebibyte（TiB）混淆。
Tebibyte（缩写：TiB）是另一个类似的单位，使用二进制前缀，表示1,099,511,627,776（240）字节，常与太字节混淆。
与其他储存单位的换算
- 1 TB = 1,000 (103) GB
- 1 TB = 1,000,000 (106) MB
- 1 TB = 1,000,000,000 (109) KB
- 1 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 (1012) B
不过，太字节往往可以指Tebibyte，其换算是：
- 1 TB ≈ 0.909 TiB
- 1 TiB = 1,024 (210) GiB
- 1 TiB = 1,048,576 (220) MiB
- 1 TiB = 1,073,741,824 (230) KiB
- 1 TiB = 1,099,511,627,776 (240) B
由于换算方法的不同往往造成混淆。例如，一般的硬盘生产厂商采用1,000,000,000,000（1012）字节 = 1 TB的进制，而 Microsoft Windows 等操作系统则采用Tebibyte换算并用TB表示，故有其报告的容量比硬盘标示的容量小的情况发生。
