单语主义
单语主义（Monolingualism），是指官方只推行一种语言的政策及现象。如美国和英国通常被视为单语体系，利用官方语言或强势语言广泛传播，在文化和经济上具有影响力，现今英语为全球语言、乃至中华民国、日本、大韩民国的国语政策均属此。
但独尊一种语言情形下，易压缩到少数族群的母语和文化发展。与其相反的是多语主义。
