剪齿鲨（Edestus）是一种已经绝迹且鲜为人知的奇异软骨鱼，从泥盆纪晚期[1]到石炭纪晚期（宾夕法尼亚世）生活在世界各地的海洋中。到目前为止，科学家只发现剪齿鲨牙齿化石。
剪齿鲨最大的物种E. giganteus长度可达6.7米（22英尺），与现代大白鲨相当[2]。
剪齿鲨前颌端牙齿是外翻的, 向颌骨顺延，牙齿磨损时没有脱落，与其他亲种一样（如旋齿鲨），与现代鲨鱼不同。 剪齿鲨上下颚各只长出一排牙齿，嘴巴就像一对巨大剪刀。
