亚马逊河无臂鳎为辐鳍鱼纲鲽形目鳎亚目无臂鳎科的其中一种，为热带鱼类，分布于中西大西洋亚马逊河河口至Paria湾淡水、半咸水及海域，栖息深度可达20米，体长可达37公分，栖息在沙泥底质底层水域，以小型底栖生物为食，生活习性不明，可作为观赏鱼。
