Rentgenkontrast moddalar — organizmga kiritilganda tekshiriladigan obyekt tasvirini aniq koʻrsatadigan kimyoviy moddalar. Ular rentgen nurlari yutilishini yoʻnaltirib yoki kamaytirib, kontrast tasvir hosil qiladi. "Ogʻir" Rentgenkontrast moddalarm. (bariy sulfat, yod preparatlari) bilan bir qatorda "engil" Rentgenkontrast moddalar m. [havo, kislorod, azot (1)oksid va boshqa] ham ishlatiladi.[1]

Biror a’zo yoki sistemaning tuzilishi va hajmiga ko‘ra atrofidagi a’zolar yoki to'qimalardan farq qilib bo’lmasa, ularni kontrast moddalar yordamida turli usullar bilan tekshirish mumkin. Kontrast moddalarning qoilanilishi odam organizmidagi hamma a’zo va sistemalami rentgenologik tekshirishga imkon berdi va bu usullar rentgen diagnostikada oldingi o‘rinni egalladi.

Rentgenologik tekshirishlarda qo'llanadigan kontrast moddalar ikki guruhga bo‘linadi: Birinchi guruhga atom og‘irligi katta bo’lgan, rentgen nurlarini singdirish xususiyatiga ega va ekran yoki rentgenogrammada intensiv soya beradigan kontrast moddalar (og‘ir metallar tuzi — bariy va yod birikmalari) kiradi. Rentgenologik tekshirishlarda qo’llaniladigan kimyoviy toza bariy sulfat 100g dan maxsus paketlarda chiqariladi. U mutlaqo zararsiz, organizmdagi suvlarda erimaydi, shilliq pardaga ta’sir etmaydi, o‘zgarmasdan chiqib ketadi. Bunga 50% li bariy sulfat pasta preparati "Rekon" kiradi, uni ichish juda oson. "Rekon” pastasi ovqat hazm qilish yo‘li, nafas naylari tarmoqlari va boshqa a’zolarni rentgenologik tekshirishda qo’llanadi. Suvda yoki yog‘da eritilgan yod birikmalari har xil konsentratsiyada va tabletkada juda keng qo’llanadi. Murakkab yod tuzlarining suvdagi eritmasi ampulalarda chiqarilib, ular tarkibida 30 — 90% yod bo’ladi. Bularga quyidagilar kiradi: triombrast, triyodtrast, yodamid, bilignost. Ikkinchi guruhga rentgen nurlarini yutmaydigan, o‘rtacha og’irligi past bo’lgan kontrast moddalar kislorod, azot oksidi, uglerod oksidi kiradi.
