ہانیو پینین (انگریزی: Hanyu Pinyin) (آسان چینی: 汉语拼音; روایتی چینی: 漢語拼音) جسے عام طور پر صرف پینین یا پن ین کہا جاتا ہے، اصل سرزمین چین اور کسی حد تک تائیوان میں معیاری چینی کی رومن نویسی کا رسمی نظام ہے۔ اسے عام طور پر معیاری مینڈارن چینی کو سکھانے کے لیے استعمال کیا جاتا ہے جو عام طور پر چینی رسم الخط میں لکھی جاتی ہے۔
پینین نظام 1950ء کی دہائی میں کئی ماہر لسانیات جن میں ژؤ یونگوانگ (Zhou Youguang) بھی شامل تھے نے تیار کیا، [1] جو اس سے قبل چینی رومن نویسی نظاموں سے اخذ کیا گیا۔ حکومت چین نے اسے 1958ء مین شائع کیا اور تب سے اس میں کئی بار تندیلیاں بھی کی جا چکی ہیں۔ [2] بین الاقوامی تنظیم برائے معیاریت نے 1982ء میں اسے بطور ایک بین الاقومی معیار اپنایا۔ [3] اس کے بعد 1986ء میں اقوام متحدہ نے بھی اسے بطور جینی رومن نویسی اپنایا۔ [1] 2009ء میں تائیوان نے بھی اسے سرکاری معیار کے طور پر اپنایا۔ [4][5] لیکن "کچھ شہروں، کاروباروں اور تنظیموں، خاص طور پر جنوبی تائیوان میں اسے قبول نہیں کیا" لہذا اس کے کئی حریف چینی رومن نویسی نظام بھی یہاں مستعمل ہیں۔ [6]
لفظ ہانیو (Hànyǔ) (آسان چینی: 汉语; روایتی چینی: 漢語) کے معنی ہان چینی لوگوں کی "گفتاری زبان" کے ہیں جبکہ (Pīnyīn) (拼音) کے لفظی معنی "صوت ہجہ" کے ہیں۔ [7]
