Мартін Алістер Кемпбелл Хінтон (англ. Martin Alister Campbell Hinton, 1883–1961) — британський зоолог[2].
Хінтон приєднався до штату Музею природної історії в 1910 році[3], працюючи над ссавцями, зокрема гризунами. У 1927 році він став заступником доглядача зоології, а в 1936 році – доглядачем, а в 1945 році вийшов на пенсію.
Хінтон є одним із тих, хто пов’язаний з містифікацією Пілтдаунської людини, композиції зміненого людського черепа та щелепи мавпи, підсадженої, а згодом «виявленої» на розкопках у Пілтдауні, Англія, і представленої як відсутня ланка між людиною та мавпою[4][5].
