Kanat yapısında radikal değişiklikler yapılmış ilk bombardıman uçağıdır. Uçak sadece bir kanat ve motorlardan oluşmaktadır. Ayrıca uçağın kuyruk bölümü tamamen yok edilmiştir. Sadece prototipi ve ön üretimi yapılan uçak üreticisi Northrop Corporation tarafından sonraki yıllarda B-2 Spirit'e esin kaynağı olmuştur.
