G0 fazı, G sıfır alfa fazı veya ''dinlenme fazı'' hücrenin hücre döngüsü içinde sükûnet halinde bulunduğu bir periyottur. G0 fazı, G1 fazının genişlemiş versiyonu olarak gözükür ve hücre ne bölünmeye hazırlanır ne de ayrı bir sükûnet periyodundadır.[1] Sinir ve kalp kası hücreleri gibi bazı hücreler, yetişkinliklerine vardıklarında son kez farklılaştılarında sükun hale gelirler fakat canlının hayatının geri kalanı için ana işlevlerini yerine getirmeye devam ederler. Çok çekirdeklenmiş kas hücreleri sitokineze girmezler ve çoğunlukla G0 evresinde durdukları düşünülür.[1]
