เรือจักรไอน้ำ (อังกฤษ: steamboat หรือ steamship) คือเรือที่ใช้กลไกในการขับเคลื่อนหลักจากเครื่องจักรไอน้ำ โดยมีความหมายทั้งเรือที่แล่นในทะเลสาบหรือแม่น้ำ (steamboat) กับเรือที่แล่นในมหาสมุทร (steamship)

การพัฒนาเครื่องจักรไอน้ำและการนำไปประยุกต์ใช้กับเรือเกิดขึ้นในช่วงปลายคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 18 แต่กว่าจะเป็นที่แพร่หลายก็ล่วงไปถึงคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 19 โดยมีการเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วในการสร้างเรือแล่นในแม่น้ำในสหรัฐอเมริกา เรือจักรไอน้ำชนิดที่ใช้แล่นในทะเลเข้ามาแทนเรือใบแบบเดิมอย่างรวดเร็ว แต่กระนั้น เรือจักรไอน้ำในยุคนั้นก็ยังคงติดตั้งใบเรือสำรองอยู่ เรือไอน้ำสัญชาติฝรั่งเศส "La Touraine" น่าจะเป็นเรือไอน้ำลำสุดท้ายที่ติดตั้งใบเรือไว้ด้วย และไม่เคยต้องใช้ใบเรือนั้นเลย

เรือจักรไอน้ำถูกแทนที่ด้วยเรือที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยดีเซลในช่วงครึ่งหลังของคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 20 เรือรบส่วนใหญ่ใช้เครื่องจักรไอน้ำตั้งแต่ราวคริสต์ทศวรรษ 1860 ตราบจนกระทั่งการคิดค้นเครื่องจักรขับเคลื่อนด้วยกังหันก๊าซในช่วงต้นคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 20
