ความเชื่อถือได้
ในการวัดทางสถิติและทางจิตวิทยา คำว่า ความเชื่อถือได้ (อังกฤษ: Reliability)[1] เป็นความคงเส้นคงวาโดยทั่วไปของวิธีการวัด/การทดสอบอย่างหนึ่ง[2] ซึ่งเรียกว่าเชื่อถือได้ ถ้าให้ผลคล้าย ๆ กันภายใต้สถานการณ์ที่ตรงกัน หรือว่า "เป็นลักษณะของเซ็ตค่าวัด/ค่าทดสอบเซ็ตหนึ่ง ที่สัมพันธ์กับความคลาดเคลื่อนโดยสุ่มเนื่องจากวิธีการวัด เป็นความคลาดเคลื่อนที่อาจรวมอยู่ในค่าวัด ค่าวัดที่เชื่อถือได้สูงจะแม่นยำ ทำซ้ำได้ และคงเส้นคงวาจากการวัดครั้งหนึ่งเทียบกับอีกครั้งหนึ่ง นั่นก็คือ ถ้าวิธีการทดสอบอย่างเดียวกันใช้ซ้ำกับกลุ่มทดสอบ ก็จะได้ผลโดยหลักเหมือนกัน สัมประสิทธิ์ความน่าเชื่อถือที่มีค่าต่าง ๆ ตั้งแต่ 0.00 (ผิดพลาดมาก) จนถึง 1.00 (ไม่มีความผิดพลาด) ปกติจะใช้บ่งค่าผิดพลาดที่มีในค่าวัด"[3] ยกตัวอย่างเช่น ค่าวัดน้ำหนักและความสูงของคนบ่อยครั้งเชื่อถือได้ดีมาก[4]

It is the characteristic of a set of test scores that relates to the amount of random error from the measurement process that might be embedded in the scores. Scores that are highly reliable are accurate, reproducible, and consistent from one testing occasion to another.
