คุรุหรโคพินท์
คุรุหรโคพินท์ หรือ คุรุหริโกบินท์ (Guru Hargobind) เกิดเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1595 ท่านเป็นคุรุศาสดาองค์ที่ 6 ของศาสนาซิกข์ ท่านได้เข้าสู่การเป็นคุรุศาสดาตั้งแต่ยังอายุเพียง 11 ปี หลังท่านคุรุอรชุน คุรุองค์ที่ 5 ผู้เป็นบิดาของท่านถูกสำเร็จโทษถึงแก่ชีวิตโดยจักรพรรดิชะฮันคีร์แห่งจักรวรรดิโมกุล[1]
ท่านคุรุหริโควินท์เป็นผู้ริเริ่มระบบกองทัพและการทหารให้แก่ศาสนาซิกข์ นักวิชาการบางกลุ่มมองว่าเพื่อป้องกันชุมชนศาสนาซิกข์หลังบิดาของท่านซึ่งเป็นคุรุสูงสุดขณะนั้นถูกสำเร็จโทษ[2][3] นอกจากนี้ท่านยังก่อตั้งอกาลตาคัต เพื่อเป็นสถานที่ตัดสินถูก-ผิด ของศาสนิกชน ในบริเวณของหริมันทิรสาหิบ ท่านนับเป็นคุรุศาสดาที่ทรงตำแหน่งนานที่สุด คือ 37 ปี
