Historia natyrore
Historia natyrore është një sferë hulumtimi që përfshin organizmat, duke përfshirë kafshët, kërpudhat dhe bimët, në mjedisin e tyre natyror, duke u mbështetur më shumë në aspektet e vëzhgimit sesa metodat eksperimentale të studimit.[1] Një person që studion historinë natyrore quhet natyralist ose historian natyror. [2] [3]
Historia natyrore përfshin edhe kërkimet shkencore, por nuk kufizohet vetëm në të. [4] Ajo ngërthen në vete studimin sistematik të çdo kategorie të objekteve ose organizmave natyrorë. [5] Pra, ndërsa ajo daton nga studimet në botën antike greko-romake dhe botën mesjetare arabe, deri tek te kontributi i natyralistëve të Rilindjes evropiane, historia e sotme natyrore është një ombrellë ndërdisiplinore e shumë disiplinave shkencore; psh, gjeobiologjia ka një natyrë të fortë multidisiplinare.[6] [7] [8] [9]
