William Robert Brooks (* 11. jún 1844 - † 3. máj 1921) bol americký astronóm anglického pôvodu, ktorý sa preslávil objavmi komét. Počas 29 rokov pozorovaní objavil 24 nových komét. Bol priekopníkom využitia fotografie v astronómii. Vyznamenaný Lalandovou medailou Parížskej AV (1904).
