Hnacia náprava

Hnacia náprava okrem prenosu váhy vozidla na vozovku (koľaje) umožňuje aj prenos krútiaceho momentu na poháňané kolesá.[1] Môže to byť buď predná, alebo zadná náprava, alebo obidve (všetky). V prípade prednej hnacej nápravy je výhodou bezpečnejší prejazd zákrut, pretože je vozidlo ťahané hnanými kolesami. Prenos hnacej sily na nápravu sa deje prostredníctvom hriadele s kardanovými kĺbmi, ale sú aj iné spôsoby prenosu krútiaceho momentu na hnaciu nápravu, napr. remeňom, reťazou alebo ozubeným súkolesím.
