මහා ඉතිහාසඥයාගේ වාර්තා, හෙවත් ෂිජි යන චීන නාමයෙන් හැඳින්වෙන්නේ, ක්‍රි.පූ. 94 අවට කාලයෙහි හන් රාජවංශ නිලධාරියකු වූ සිමා චියාන් විසින් අවසන් කරන ලද, පුරාතන චීන ඉතිහාසය පිළිබඳ වන වැදගත් මූලාශ්‍රයකි. මෙය අධිරාජකීය මාලිගයේ ප්‍රධාන ජ්‍යෝතිශවේදියා ලෙස කටයුතු කළ ඔහුගේ පියා වූ සිමා තාන් විසින් ආරම්භ කරන ලද්දකි. මෙම කෘතිය මඟින් චීන ජනයා ලෝකය දුටු ආකාරය සහ ජනප්‍රවාදගත කහ අධිරාජයාගේ සමයේ සිට කර්තෘවරයා විසූ හන් හි වූ අධිරාජයාගේ පාලන සමය තෙක් වසර 2500ක පමණ කාල පරාසයක් ආවරණය වේ.සැකිල්ල:Sfnb
