The Good Earth (sh. Dobra zemlja) je američki crno-bijeli film snimljen 1937. u režiji Sidneya Franklina. Predstavlja adaptaciju istoimenog romana književnice Pearl S. Buck. Radnja je smještena u Kinu, a protagonisti - koje tumače Paul Muni i Luise Rainer - su seljak Wang Lung i njegova supruga O-Lan, koji pokušavaju održati svoje malo imanje i prehraniti porodicu usprkos brojnih nedaća.

The Good Earth je predstavljao jedan od najambicioznijih projekata studija Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer i njegovog producenta Irvinga Thalberga. U film je utrošeno čak 2,8 miliona dolara, a snimao se preko tri godine. Autorica romana Pearl Buck je inzistirala da uloge tumače kineski ili orijentalni glumci, ali je Thalberg na kraju odlučio da uloge kineskih likova tumače tadašnjoj američkoj publici poznate bijele zvijezde našmikane tako da izgledaju kao azijati. Dio filma je sniman u Kini, pri čemu su producenti uživali podršku od strane Chiang Kai-sheka i njegove supruge Soong Meiling; scenario je promijenjen u odnosu na roman da bi se Kina prikazala u boljem svjetlu. Ti su dijelovi filma, međutim, nestali na putu za Kaliforniju, te su se morali nadosnimiti u SAD. Usprkos tih poteškoća, kao i Thalbergove smrti usred produkcije, The Good Earth je postigao veliki uspjeh. Luise Rainer je postala prva glumica koja je osvojila dva Oscara uzastupce.
