Leon Marcus Uris (3. august 1924 - 21. jun 2003) bio je američki književnik i filmski scenarist, najpoznatiji kao autor historijskih romana koji su se bavili pozadinom aktualnih sukoba u 20. vijeku. Među njima se najviše ističe Exodus iz 1958. godine, koji se bavio historijom i stvaranjem Izraela, i Urisu donio ogromnu popularnost. Slijedio je niz romana posvećenih historiji Irske, Bliskog istoka i poratnog Berlina, a koji su također postali veliki bestseleri.
