Bitka kod Mercredesburnea se 485. ili 486. odigrala na području današnje Južne Engleske između južnosaksonskih doseljenika pod kraljem Aelleom na jednoj, te britskih domorodaca na drugoj strani. O njoj postoje vrlo oskudni podaci, odnosno tek jedan izvor - Anglosaksonska kronika - koja navodi tek njenu godinu, a ne i njen ishod. Prema kasnijem historičaru Henryju od Huntingdona, nijedna strana nije pobijedila te su Aelle i Briti sklopili mirovni sporazum. Aelle je predah iskoristio da popuni ljudstvo poslavši poziv svojim saksonskim sunarodnjacima u današnjoj Njemačkoj, a što je iskoristio da Britima 491. nanese težak poraz kod Pevenseya.
