An American in Paris (sh. Amerikanac u Parizu) je američki filmski mjuzikl snimljen 1951. u režiji Vincentea Minellija, poznat kao jedan od najpopularnijih i najuspješnijih mjuzikala u historiji Hollywooda i svjetskog filma uopće.

Nastao je na temelju istoimene simfonijske poeme Georgea Gershwina, kojoj su za potrebe filma dodane pjesme čije je stihove napisao Georgeov brat Ira Gershwin. Radnja se događa u Parizu, a protagonist je boemski Amerikanac (čiji lik tumači Gene Kelly) koga uzdržava bogata dama (koju glumi Nina Foch), iako se on zaljubio u neuglednu Parižanku (koju glumi Leslie Caron). An American in Paris je sniman u studijima Metro-Goldwyn-Mayera, kompanije koja je stvorila reputaciju upravo na ovakvim mjuziklima, i kome predstavlja jedno od najpoznatijih ostvarenja. Posebno se ističe spektakularna 18-minutna scena baleta na kraju u kojoj zajedno nastupaju Kelly i Caron, te koja je ušla u brojne antologije.
