Aliteracije i igre reči u ovom odlomku pokazuju da izgubljene palijate nisu uvek zaostajale za Plautovim pesničkim bojama i duhovitošću: Nije stoga čudno što je Varon i ovu Akvilijevu navodno pripisao Plautu, premda je Lucije Akcije u svojoj istoriji rimskog pozorišta pokazao da je njen pisac zapravo Akvilije.[3]
