A Colloquium Lecture da American Mathematical Society (AMS) é uma palestra especial anual, que ocorre no último dia da conferência de inverno da sociedade. Tem sua origem nas aulas que ocorreram nas comemorações da Exposição Mundial de 1896 no Evanston Colloquium em Chicago, onde dentre outros palestrou Felix Klein, e que foi co-organizado por Henry Seely White, da Universidade Northwestern. White propôs sua continuação. As primeiras Colloquium Lectures ocorreram nos encontros de verão de 1896 da AMS em Buffalo, estado de Nova Iorque. As palestras são normalmente publicadas como livro pela AMS na série AMS Colloquium Publications.^[1]
