Satelita
Satelita (łac. satelles dop. satellitis 'towarzysz, sługa') − każde ciało o względnie małej masie, obiegające inne ciało o większej masie. Tor ruchu tego ciała nosi nazwę orbity.
Satelity dzielą się na:
- sztuczne, np. satelity telekomunikacyjne
- naturalne, zwane księżycami
