ਹੇਬਲ ਝੀਲ ਬੰਗਲੌਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਹਾਈਵੇ 7 ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ, ਬੇਲਾਰੀ ਰੋਡ ਅਤੇ ਆਊਟਰ ਰਿੰਗ ਰੋਡ (ORR) ਦੇ ਜੰਕਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਦੀ ਝੀਲ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੇਂਪੇ ਗੌੜਾ ਵਲੋਂ 1537 ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਵਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਝੀਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਝੀਲ ਸੀ। ਬੰਗਲੌਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਝੀਲਾਂ ਜਾਂ "ਟੈਂਕਾਂ" ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਰਗੀ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀਆਂ [1] ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। 2000 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੀਲ ਦਾ ਫੈਲਾਅ 75 ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਇਸਨੂੰ 143 ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਦੀ ਸੀਮਾ ਤੱਕ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸੀ। [2]
