ਮੈਕਸ ਬੌਰਨ ਇੱਕ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਆਂਟਮ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ।^[1] ਬੌਰਨ ਨੂੰ 1954 ਵਿੱਚ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੋਬਲ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਵਰਨਰ ਹੀਜ਼ਨਬਰਗ ਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੀ।
