ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਬੋਰਡ (ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ) ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ।[9] ਇਸਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਫਤਰ ਚਰਚਗੇਟ, ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ।[10] ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅਮੀਰ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ।[11][12][13]
ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਦਸੰਬਰ 1928 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਰਾਜ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਸੰਘਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਘ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਚੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਗੋਵਨ ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਐਂਥਨੀ ਡੀ ਮੇਲੋ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸਨ।[14] ਫਰਵਰੀ 2023 ਤੱਕ [update], ਰੋਜਰ ਬਿੰਨੀ ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਦੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੈ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਹਨ।[15][16] ਬੋਰਡ 1926 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਪੀਰੀਅਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਇਆ।[2] ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਇੱਕ ਖੁਦਮੁਖਤਿਆਰੀ, ਨਿਜੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਖੇਡ ਮਹਾਸੰਘ ਦੇ ਦਾਇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਇਸ 'ਤੇ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਨਿਯਮ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਯੁਵਾ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਜਾਂ ਫੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੈ।[17][18][19] ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਮਦਨ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੀ ਆਈਪੀਐਲ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅਮੀਰ ਖੇਡ ਲੀਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ।[20] ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ 2022-23 ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਨੇ ₹6,558 ਕਰੋੜ (US$820 million) ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।2023 ਵਿੱਚ, ਬੋਰਡ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਦੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਾਇਆਕਾਮ18 ਨੂੰ ₹6,000 ਕਰੋੜ (US$750 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ) ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ,[lower-alpha 1][21] ਡਬਲਿਊਪੀਐੱਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਇਆਕਾਮ18 ਨੂੰ ₹951 ਕਰੋੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਚੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ IPL ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਾਇਆਕਾਮ18–ਸਟਾਰ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਨੂੰ ₹48,390 ਕਰੋੜ (US$6.1 ਬਿਲੀਅਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਚੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ 5 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।[22][23][24] ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਕਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ 2022-23 ਵਿੱਚ ₹4,000 ਕਰੋੜ (US$500 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ) ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।[25][details 1]
ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਆਈਸੀਸੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ,[lower-alpha 2] ਅਤੇ 2023 ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ, 2026 ਆਈਸੀਸੀ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ, 2031 ਆਈਸੀਸੀ ਵਨਡੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ,[lower-alpha 3] ਅਤੇ 2025 ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ।[27][lower-alpha 4]
ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚਾਰ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਟੀਮ, ਮਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਟੀਮ, ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅੰਡਰ-19 ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਟੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅੰਡਰ-19 ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਟੀਮ। ਇਹ ਵਿਕਾਸਸ਼ੀਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਏ, ਭਾਰਤ ਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਏ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।[28] ਇਸਦੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਚੋਣਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।[lower-alpha 5] ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਤੱਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ, ਬੀਸੀਸੀਆਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਟੀਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖੇਡੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਂ-ਸਾਰਣੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਕ੍ਰਿਕੇਟ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਂ-ਸਾਰਣੀ, ਪਾਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।[29][30][31]
