ਦੱਖਣ ਕੋਰੀਆ (ਕੋਰੀਆਈ: 대한민국 (ਹਾਂਗੁਲ), 大韩民国 (ਹਾਞਜਾ)), ਪੂਰਬੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕੋਰੀਆਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਯਦੀਪ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਅਰਧਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੀਨ, ਪੂਰਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਪਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਕੋਰੀਆ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਸਿਓਲ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਮਹਾਨਗਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਾਰਿਕ ਨਗਰ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਆਧਿਕਾਰਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਕੋਰੀਆਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹੰਗੁਲ ਅਤੇ ਹਞਜਾ ਦੋਨ੍ਹੋਂ ਲਿਪੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਵਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਉੱਤਰੀ ਕੋਰੀਆ, ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਇੱਕਮਾਤਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਕੋਰੀਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 238 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਲੰਬੀ ਹੱਦ ਹੈ। ਦੋਨ੍ਹੋਂ ਕੋਰੀਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਫੌਜੀ ਜਮਾਵੜੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੱਦ ਹੈ।
ਕੋਰੀਆਈ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੀ ਡਰਾਉਣਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਝੇਲ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਕੋਰੀਆ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਕਲ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਉਤਪਾਦ (ਖਰੀਦ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ) ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਕਲ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਉਤਪਾਦ (ਸੰਗਿਆਤਮਕ) ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੰਦਰਵੀਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਹੈ।
