ସ୍ପର୍ମାଟୋସିଲ, ଏପିଡିଡାଇମିସରେ ଏକ ତରଳ ପଦାର୍ଥ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି ସିଷ୍ଟକୁ କୁହାଯାଏ ।^[୭] ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ ମୁଷ୍କ (ଟେଷ୍ଟିସ) ପୃଷ୍ଟଭାଗରେ କିମ୍ବା ଉପରେ ତିଆରି ହୋଇଥାଏ ।^[୨] ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ କିଛି ମିଲିମିଟରରୁ କିଛି ସେଣ୍ଟିମିଟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭିନ୍ନ ଭିନ୍ନ ଆକାରର ହୋଇଥାଏ ।^[୨] ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସାଧାରଣତଃ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଦାୟକ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି; ଯଦିଓ କେତେକଙ୍କର ସାମାନ୍ୟ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ହୁଏ ।^[୧] ସେମାନେ ବନ୍ଧ୍ୟାତ୍ୱ ସହିତ ଜଡ଼ିତ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି ।^[୨]

ଏହାର କାରଣ ଜଣା ପଡ଼ିନାହିଁ ।^[୫] ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବିତ ସମ୍ଭାବନା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆଘାତ, ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଦାହ ହୋଇପାରେ ।^[୫] ସେଥିରେ ଥିବା ତରଳ ପଦାର୍ଥ ସାଧାରଣତଃ କ୍ଷୀର ରଙ୍ଗର ଏବଂ ସେଥିରେ ଶୁକ୍ରାଣୁ ଥାଏ ।^[୫] ଶାରୀରିକ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଏବଂ ବେଳେବେଳେ ଅଲଟ୍ରାସାଉଣ୍ଡ ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ରୋଗ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ କରାଯାଏ ^[୬] ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ କର୍କଟ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି କିମ୍ବା ଟେଷ୍ଟିକୁଲାର କର୍କଟ ହେବାର ଆଶଙ୍କା ମଧ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ ।^[୧]

ସ୍ପର୍ମାଟୋସିଲ କ୍ୱଚିତ୍ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ କରନ୍ତି ।^[୧] ଯଦି ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ହୁଏ, ପାରାସେଟାମୋଲ କିମ୍ବା ଆଇବୁପ୍ରୋଫେନ୍ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରାଯାଇପାରେ ।^[୧] ବେଳେବେଳେ ଆସ୍ପିରେସନ୍ କିମ୍ବା ସ୍କ୍ଲେରୋଥେରାପି କିମ୍ବା ଅସ୍ତ୍ରୋପଚାର ଭଳି ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା କରାଯାଇପାରେ ।^[୧] ୩୦% ପୁରୁଷଙ୍କର ସ୍ପର୍ମାଟୋସିଲ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ।^[୨] ସେମାନଙ୍କ ୪୦ରୁ ୫୦ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ଅଧିକ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ।^[୨]
