Van der Grintens kartprojeksjon er en kompromisskartprojeksjon som ikke er konform og ikke viser områder med lik størrelse. Den viser hele jorden som en sirkel, men polområdene blir sterkt forvrengt. Kartprojeksjonen ble designet av Alphons J. van der Grinten i 1904. Den ble kjent etter at National Geographic Society begynte å bruke den som sitt referanseverdenskart i 1922. Den ble erstattet i 1988.[1]
