Standardkubikkmeter

Standardkubikkmeter (Sm³) er en enhet for volumetrisk måling av olje, naturgass og naturgasskondensat ved standardbetingelser definert i ISO-standarden ISO 13443.[1] Standardkubikkmeter angir hvor mange kubikkmeter det er av et stoff når stoffet har en temperatur på 15 °C og et trykk lik 101,325 kPa (standard lufttrykk).

Som for andre måleenheter, kan standardkubikkmeter brukes sammen med SI-prefiks som mega- (millioner) og giga- (milliarder). Normalt måles olje i megastandardkubikkmeter (MSm³) og gass i gigastandardkubikkmeter (GSm³).

1 Sm³ er lik:

  • 0,000 001 MSm³
  • 0,000 000 001 GSm³

Og motsatt:

  • 1 MSm³ = 1 000 000 Sm³
  • 1 GSm³ = 1 000 000 000 Sm³

Måleenheten blir ofte brukt sammen med oljeekvivalenter (o.e).
