Rigabukten

Rigabukten er en bukt i Østersjøen mellom Latvia og Estland. Øyene Saaremaa og Hiiumaa danner grense mot resten av Østersjøen. Hovedleden inn til Rigabukten går gjennom Irbestredet mellom Saaremaa og Kurlandshalvøya.

Arealet er omtrent 18 000 km² og største dybde er 54 meter. Større byer i området er Latvias hovedstad Riga og kurbadebyene Jūrmala i Latvia og Pärnu i Estland. De største elvene som renner ut i bukten er Daugava, Lielupe og Gauja.

Ruhnu og Kihnu er øyer i Rigabukten som begge hører til Estland. Øyene hadde inntil 1944 hovedsakelig estlandssvensk befolkning.
