Nervus facialis eller ansiktsnerven er den syvende hjernenerve. Den utløper fra hjernestammen mellom pons og medulla oblongata, og kontrollerer ansiktets mimikkmuskler og smak på fremre to tredjedeler av tungen.

Nervens viktigste motor-funksjon er ansiktets mimikkmuskulatur og stapedius-muskelen i mellomøret. Den forsyner også glandula submandibularis glandula sublingualis (spyttkjertler) med parasympatiske fibre via chorda tympani og glandula lacrimalis (en tårekjertel) via ganglion pterygopalatinum. I tillegg mottar den smaksopplevelser fra fremre to tredjedeler av tungen, og formidler disse signalene til cellekjernen nucleus tractus solitarii. Det finnes også en liten sensorisk ansiktsgren formidlet gjennom nervus intermedius som forsyner et lite område i og omkring øreflippen.
