Neo-dada

Neo-dada (eller nydadaisme) er en betegnelse brukt på en del kunstnere i etterkrigstiden, hvis metoder og ideer sammenfalt med den tidligere dadaistiske kunsten. Neo-dada kjennetegnes av bruken av moderne materialer, populærkulturelt billedmateriale og absurdistiske kontraster.

Begrepet ble introdusert i USA sent på 1950-tallet av Jasper Johns og Robert Rauschenberg. Jasper Johns, Yves Klein, Robert Rauschenberg, Claes Oldenburg og Jim Dine er blant kunstnerne som assosieres med nydadaismen. De ønsket å gjenopplive den opprinnelige dadaismen. Blant nydadistenes metoder var "assemblage", "happening" og "environment".[1]

Neo-dada regnes som foreløper til retninger som popkunst og fluxus.
