Utseende

Middelsstore, avlange, glatte og blanke, gjerne rød- eller gulaktige bladbiller. Antennene er trådformede.

Levevis

Både larvene og de voksne (imago) er planteetere, ofte på busker og trær. Noen av artene kan opptre i store mengder og snauspise vertsplantene i enkelte år. De voksne billene flyr godt og kan forflytte seg over betydelige avstander.

Utbredelse

Slekten er utbredt i Afrika.
