Springsteens etterlengtede konsertalbum har solgt mer enn 13 millioner eksemplarer, noe som gjør det til det mest solgte konsertalbumet utgitt på den tiden.

Ikke overraskende, med tanke på Springsteens omdømme og rykte som konsertartist, ble det 40 sanger lange albumet mottatt med overveiende gode anmeldelser. Det var likevel noen kritikere som savnet noen sanger på albumet, som blant annet «Prove It All Night».
