Kilmarnock Football Club er en skotsk fotballklubb fra byen Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. Stiftet i 1869 er «Killie» den eldste profesjonelle klubben i Skottland. Hjemmekampene spilles på Rugby Park. For tiden spiller klubben i Scottish Premiership under manager Allan Johnston.
Historie
[rediger | rediger kilde]Klubbens stiftelse dateres til den aller tidligste tiden med organisert fotball i Skottland. En gruppe cricketspillere ønsket å drive idrett også utenom cricket-sesongen. Opprinnelig spilte de rugby, men vanskeligheter med å skaffe motstander gjorde at de opptok «ordentlig fotball» på programmet.
