En internationalisert ressursidentifikator eller IRI (engelsk: «Internationalized Resource Identifier») brukes på internettet til å lokalisere informasjonsressurser på veven og til å navngi informasjons- og andre ressurser unikt. For eksempel kan IRI-en https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sissel_Kyrkjebø brukes til å lokalisere wikipediasiden med informasjon om artisten Sissel Kyrkjebø, mens IRI-en http://dbpedia.org/resource/Sissel_Kyrkjebø kan benyttes til å navngi personen Sissel kyrkjebø unikt.
Internasjonaliserte ressursidentifikatorer bygger på uniforme ressursidentifikatorer (URI-er, engelsk: «Uniform Resource Identifier»), men mens URI-er kun kan inneholde tegn som er definert i ASCII-standarden, tillater IRI-er alle tegn som er definert i den langt mer omfattende Unicode-standarden. IRI-er ble definert at Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) i 2005 i standarden RFC 3987.[1]
