Folklore Fellows’ Communications

Folklore Fellows’ Communications er en monografiserie (ISSN 0014-5815) som er blitt utgitt siden 1910 av Folklore Fellows og Academia Scientiarum Fennica (Finnish Academy of Science and Letter). Redaktør for skriftserien er Anna-Leena Siikala.

Monografiseriens tema er primært folkloristiske referanseverker (motivindekser, typeregistre, etc) over immaterielle kulturtradisjoner, spesielt folkediktning, trossystemer, myter og ritualer, samt metodologi, vitenskapsteori og faghistorie. Utgivelsene grenser også emnemessig inn på komparativ religionsvitenskap, kulturantropologi og etnologi.

Like til de siste decennier har utgivelsene vært preget av den finske, historisk-geografiske skole, som en siste bastion for arbeider gjort i tilslutning til denne metoden., med utgivelser av typekataloger og motivindekser over all verdens folkediktning. De senere års titler røper imidlertid en viss nyorientering i retning av å slippe andre tilnærmingsmåter til i serien.
