Air Serbia er et nasjonalt flyselskap fra Serbia. Hovedkontoret ligger i Beograd og hovedbasen er Beograd Nikola Tesla lufthavn. Air Serbia flyr internasjonale ruter til destinasjoner i Europa, Midtøsten og Nord-Amerika. Charterflyginger drives med merkenavnet Aviolet.

Historie

Historien til flyselskapet strekker seg tilbake til 1927.[1] Da blei selskapet Aeroput grunnlagt i Beograd. I 1947 fortsatte det som Jugoslovenski Aerotransport (JAT). Etter at Jugoslavia gikk i oppløsing, ble JAT nasjonalt flyselskap for Serbia og Montenegro og så Serbia. I 2003 byttet JAT navn til Jat Airways.

Den serbiske staten forsøkte å privatisere selskapet i 2008 og igjen i 2011.[2] I 2013 ble 49 % av aksjene i selskapet solgt til Etihad Airways fra De forente arabiske emirater.[3] Selskapet skiftet så navn til Air Serbia. Flyflåten ble utvidet med Airbus A319 og Airbus A320.

Flyflåten til Air Serbia består av Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Airbus A330, Boeing 737-300 og ATR 72-200/500 (juli 2017).[4]
