SATB
SATB (også SCTB) er ei utbreidd forkorting for den vanlege besetninga i eit firstemmig kor- eller solistensemble med ei eller fleire stemmer per stemmeleie – Sopran (soprano), Alt (contralto), Tenor (tenore) og Bass (basso).
SATB er den vanlege besetninga i oratorium frå barokkmusikk, wienerklassisisme og romantisk musikk, frå Johann Sebastian Bach til Johannes Brahms.
Ensemble med fire instrument frå same instrumentfamilie blir også av og til kalla SATB. Nokre døme er eit ensemble med saksofonar: sopran-, alt-, tenor- og baritonsaksofon) eller blokkfløyter. Dei enkelte kontrapunktiske stemmene i mange instrumentale komposisjonar, særleg fuger, som Die Kunst der Fuge og Musikalisches Opfer av Bach, blir også kalla SATB.
