Nysølv

Nysølv er ei legering av kopar, sink og nikkel med høg motstandskraft mot korrosjon, og som av utsjånad kan likne på sølv. Legeringa vert bruka som myntmetall, i bestikk og smykke. Nysølv vert også kalla alpakka eller tysk sølv.

I norske tikroner og tjuekroner vert det bruka nysølv med 81 % kopar, 10 % sink og 9 % nikkel.[1]

Eigenskapar

Nysølv har ein sølvkvit glans, avhengig av samansettinga. Legeringa kan ha 45–70 % kopar, 5–30 % nikkel og 8–45 % sink, eventuelt tilsett små mengder bly, tinn eller jern.
