Uruguay nam deel aan de Olympische Zomerspelen 1928 in Amsterdam, Nederland. Voor de tweede keer op rij won het voetbalteam goud. Het zouden de enige twee gouden medailles blijken te zijn die Uruguay ooit haalde.
