North Somerset is een unitary authority en een district in de Engelse regio South West England en telt 214.000 inwoners. De oppervlakte bedraagt 374 km².
Het gebied grenst aan de niet-stedelijke graafschappen Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset en Somerset; bij dit laatste hoort het nog voor ceremoniële aangelegenheden.
Demografie
[bewerken | brontekst bewerken]Van de bevolking is 19,3 % ouder dan 65 jaar. De werkloosheid bedraagt 2,1 % van de beroepsbevolking (cijfers volkstelling 2001).
Het aantal inwoners steeg van ongeveer 179.200 in 1991 naar 188.564 in 2001.
